USI / Asteelflash is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Management Systems (QMS) Engineer to oversee and enhance our quality systems across both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustainable product lines. 

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest quality standards in our electronics contract manufacturing operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, implement, and sustain quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and lead internal and external audits, including supplier audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer-specific requirements. 
  • Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of non-conformances and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all QMS documentation is current, controlled, and accessible, facilitating smooth audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to foster a quality-centric culture.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, driving initiatives to reduce non-conformances and improve overall quality metrics.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all aspects of operations.
  • Stay up-to-date of changes in relevant standards and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant with all applicable requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in quality management within an electronics contract manufacturing environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is required; IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 certifications are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and APQP.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Demonstrated competence in working with diverse personnel to resolve issues with short deadlines.
  • Certified quality auditor: ISO 9001 and ISO14001
  • Certified quality auditor:ISO13485, ISO45001, ISO16949 is a plus
  • English writing skills
  • Training skills

This position will be 100% onsite. The expected based salary range for this position, if filled in California, is $135,000-$160,000 annually, dependent on specific skills and work experience.
