USI / Asteelflash is actively looking for a talented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team here in Milpitas, CA.
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining supplier quality support in relation to supplied material, supplier selection, supplier performance. In addition, the Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that we meet customer quality requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Documents and ensures implementation of specific supplier quality methodologies, approaches and initiatives.
- Drives adherence and achievement of supplier quality improvements objectives.
- Provides updates of performance and achievement.
- Executes overall site activities to achieve established objectives (i.e. supplier audits, supplier development, source inspection, etc...), including specific activities of site SQE’s.
- Ensures identification and implementation of customer requirements related to supplier and component quality across site.
- Uses statistical techniques to analyze data for process improvement.
- Performs periodic audits of site for continuing compliance.
- Performs supplier Quality System audits.
- Performs corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.
- Drives processes and methodologies for resolution of customer complaints due to supplier quality.
- Performs supplier audit planning, scheduling and completion, including assignment of resources, to support improvement initiatives, customer.
- Assist and support escalation of supplier performance issues.
- Maintains database on supplier performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Engineering. Advanced Engineering degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with quality standards.

This position will be 100% onsite. The expected based salary range for this position, if filled in California, is $85,000-$100,000 annually, dependent on specific skills and work experience.
